When was the moment you fell in love with Mass Spectrometry?
The moment I saw first glycosylation related changes on a mass spectrum I was hooked and knew that there was no looking back.
What is the best thing that could happen to the field of Mass Spectrometry in 5 years?
There is no doubt that seeing mass spectrometers and MS data used as part of the routine clinical pipeline that guides precision medicine would be my ultimate 5-year vision for the field of mass spectrometry.
What has been the proudest moment in your life science career?
I have had a long career in medical research and it is difficult to pick one specific moment. However, what undoubtedly brings me the most joy is when our super-team of researchers works seamlessly towards results and knowledge that change the way in which children are treated and which improves their short and long-term outcomes.
